建议每6个月就要将热水器内胆彻底排水和冲洗一次，除去在运行期间可能累积的沉淀物。请按照下列步骤排去内胆内的水：
　　It is recommended that the tank be drained and flushed every 6 months to remove sediment which may buildup during operation. To drain the tank perform the following steps:

1. 关闭热水器电源。
   Turn off the power to water heater.
2. 关闭冷水进水阀，打开附近的热水水龙头。
   Close the cold water inlet valve and open a nearby hot water faucet.
3. 用一条软管将排污阀连接到适当的排污口处。
   Connect a hose to the drain valve and terminate it to an adequate drain.

　　重要提示：排水软管额定耐温最小不能低于93^oC。如果排水软管的额定温度没有达到上述要求，请打开冷水进水阀，打开附近的热水水龙头，直到水不热为止。
　　Important: Drain hose should be rated for at least 200°F. If the drain hose does not have this rating, open the cold water inlet valve and open a nearby hot water faucet until water is no longer hot.

4. 打开热水器排污阀，排泄内胆内的所有水。如果需要，用水冲洗内胆，清除沉淀物。
   Open the water heater drain valve and allow all the water to drain from the tank. Flush the tank with water as needed to remove sediment.
5. 关闭排污阀，重新向内胆注水，直到打开的热水水龙头流出水，并让水流出几分钟时间，已确保内胆内的全部空气完全排出。
   Close the drain valve and refill the tank until water flows from the open hot water faucet. Allow water to run for a couple of minutes to make sure all air is out of tank.
6. 按照“热水器的操作”的有关说明重新开启热水器。如果热水器打算继续关闭，则排污阀应该保持开启状态。
   Restart the water heater as directed under “Operating Your Water Heater.” If the water heater is going to be shut down for an extended period, the drain valve should be left open.

1. 关闭热水器电源。
   Turn off the power to the water heater.
2. 关闭水源，打开附近的热水水龙头，以降低热水器内胆压力。
   Shut off the water supply and open a nearby hot water faucet to depressurize the water tank.
3. 从内胆内排出大约5加仑的水。（参阅“排水与冲洗”，了解正确的操作方法。）关闭排污阀。
   Drain approximately 5 gallons of water from the tank.(Refer to “Draining and Flushing” for proper procedures.) Close drain valve.
4. 拆卸旧的阳极棒。
   Remove old anode rod.
5. 在螺纹上采用聚四氟乙烯密封带或通过认证的管道密封材料，安装新的阳极棒。
   Use Teflon^® tape or approved pipe sealant on threads and install new anode rod.
6. 打开水源，打开附近的热水水龙头，排出水系统内的空气。
   Turn on water supply and open nearby hot water faucet to purge air from water system.
7. 按照“热水器的操作”的有关说明重新启动热水器。请参阅第15页的“维修配件说明”中有关阳极棒的内容。
   Restart the water heater as directed under “Operating Your Water Heater.” See the “Repair Parts Illustration" for anode rod location on page 15.

爆炸危险 Explosion Hazard 　　如果降温减压安全阀出现滴水或泄漏现象，需要请有资格认证的管道工来维修。 　　不要塞住阀门。 　　不要拆卸掉阀门。 　　 不遵守这些说明可能会导致死亡或爆炸。 　　If the temperature and pressure relief valve is dripping or leaking, have a licensed plumber repair it. 　　Do not plug valve. 　　Do not remove valve. 　　Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or explosion.

　　每年至少人工操作一次降温减压安全阀，以确保保持正常的工作状态。为了防止水的破坏，降温减压安全阀必须正确连接排泄管，并通过排泄管引导到适当的排污口。站立位置离出水口要有适当的距离（排泄物可能是热的），缓慢提升并释放降温减压安全阀上的杠杆手柄，使得阀门工作自如，然后重新回到关闭位置。如果阀门无法完全重置并继续释放出水来，请立即关闭电源和冷水进水阀，致电拥有资格认证的维修技术人员来维修。
　　Manually operate the temperature and pressure relief valve at least once a year to make sure it is working properly. To prevent water damage, the valve must be properly connected to a discharge line which terminates at an adequate drain. Standing clear of the outlet (discharged water may be hot), slowly lift and release the lever handle on the temperature and pressure relief valve to allow the valve to operate freely and return to its closed position. If the valve fails to completely reset and continues to release water, immediately shut off the electrical power and the cold water inlet valve and call a qualified service technician.
