建议每6个月就要将热水器内胆彻底排水和冲洗一次，除去在运行期间可能累积的沉淀物。如果在冰冻季节关闭热水器，则需要将热水器内的水排干。
　　It is recommended that the tank be drained and flushed every 6 months to remove sediment which may buildup during operation. The water heater should also be drained if being shut down during freezing temperatures.

　　按照下列步骤进行容器排水：
　　Follow the steps below to drain the tank:

1. 拔掉热水器的插头。
   Unplug the water heater.
2. 若热水器充满热水，则打开热水管道上的水龙头，让热水从管道内排出。
   If water heater is full of hot water, open a hot water line at a faucet and allow all hot water to be flushed from the system.
3. 关闭冷水进水阀门来关闭水供应。
   Turn off water supply at the shut off valve in the
   cold water inlet.
4. 打开降温减压安全阀释放管道内的任何水。
   Activate the T & P Valve to release any water in the piping.
5. 在冷水和热水接口处拆下水管。从墙支架上拆除热水器。
   Disconnect water piping connections to the cold water inlet and the hot water outlet. Disengage the heater from the wall bracket.
6. 如果需要的话，在水龙头上连接一条花园软管，冲刷容器，清除沉淀物。
   Using a garden hose at an outside faucet, flush the tank as needed to remove sediment.
7. 重新安装墙支架。重新按照本说明书第5页的说明重新连接冷水管道和热水管道。
   Reattach the unit to the wall bracket. Reconnect the water supply and outlet piping as outlined on page 5 of this manual.
8. 打开冷水关闭阀，给热水器注水。在水龙头有稳定的水流出后，让水继续流出三（3）分钟时间，以便排出容器内的空气，确保容器完全注满水。
   Turn on the water supply at the shut off valve and fill the tank with water. After a steady stream of water runs from the faucet, allow it to continue to run for three (3) minutes to purge the tank of air and ensure complete filling of the tank.
9. 检查管道连接处是否有泄漏。任何泄漏必须立即修复。
   Check for leaks around piping connections. Any leaks must be fixed immediately.
10. 确认容器是否注满水。如果加热棒没有浸在水内就打开电源，将会损坏加热棒。
    Make certain the tank is filled with water. Applying
    electric current to heater elements that are not submerged in water will destroy them.
11. 将热水器电源插头插入插座，将开关拨到"ON"的位置打开电源，将温度刻度设置在所需要的刻度上。
    Plug in the water heater, set the switch to the "ON" position and set the temperature dial to the desired
    setting.

　　每年至少手动操作降温减压安全阀一次，以确认是否工作正常。为了防止水的破坏，这些阀门必须与排水管道连接，以便能够将水排到适当的排水口。经常清洗出口（排泄水可能是热的），慢慢提起并释放降温减压安全阀上的杠杆手柄，使得阀门能够灵活工作并恢复到关闭位置。如果阀门无法完全重置，并继续释放水，则要立即关闭冷水进口阀门，打电话叫有资格认证的工程师。
　　Manually operate the temperature and pressure relief valve at least once a year to make sure it is working properly. To prevent water damage, the valve must be properly connected to a discharge line which terminates at an adequate drain. Standing clear of the outlet (discharged water may be hot), slowly lift and release the lever handle on the temperature and pressure relief valve to allow the valve to operate freely and return to its closed position. If the valve fails to completely reset and continues to release water, immediately shut off the cold water inlet valve, and call a qualified service technician.

　　重要：加热元件的拆卸和更换涉及到水管的拆卸和电路连接的断开。下列步骤只能由通过认证的技术人员进行。
　　IMPORTANT: Removal and replacement of the heating element involves the disconnection of water piping connections and electrical connections. The following procedures must only be performed by a qualified service technician.

　　必须采用与本热水器额定电压/功率相同、款式相同的加热元件进行更换。有关参数可以在加热元件的法兰或接线盒上找到，或者在热水器的参数板上找到。
　　The replacement heating elements must be of the same style and voltage/wattage rating as the ones presently in the water heater. This information can be found on the flange or terminal block of the element or on the water heater data plate.

　　按照下列说明更换加热元件：
　　Replace the heating element according to the following instructions:

1. 拔掉热水器的插头。
   Unplug the water heater.
2. 若热水器充满热水，则打开热水管道上的水龙头，让热水从管道内排出。
   If water heater is full of hot water, open a hot water line at a faucet and allow all hot water to be flushed from the system.
3. 关闭冷水进水阀门来关闭水供应。
   Turn off water supply at the shut off valve in the
   cold water inlet.
4. 打开降温减压安全阀释放管道内的任何水。
   Activate the T & P Valve to release any water in the piping.
5. 在冷水和热水接口处拆下水管。从墙支架上拆除热水器。断开电器接线端子（参阅图7，#6和7）。
   Disconnect water piping connections to the cold water inlet and the hot water outlet. Disengage the heater from the wall bracket. Remove the front cover. Disconnect the electrical terminals (See Figure 7, #6 & 7).
6. 旋下固定螺栓（参阅图7，#1）。用钳子握住加热元件（加热棒）旋转半圈拆卸下加热棒。
   Unscrew the retaining bolt (See Figure 7, # 1). Hold the element with pliers and remove it using a semicircular motion.
7. 安装新的加热棒和垫圈，确认是否位置是否正确。重新连接电气端子，旋紧固定螺栓。
   Install the new element and gasket, checking for correct positioning. Reconnect the electrical terminals and tighten the retaining bolt.
8. 重新安装墙支架。重新按照本说明书第5页的说明重新连接冷水管道和热水管道。
   Reattach the unit to the wall bracket. Reconnect the water supply and outlet piping as outlined on page 5 of this manual.
